I haven't blogged here for a long while. I have been so busy blogging for work that I've let my ranting cease. That maybe isn't such a bad thing.
I've learned so much not only about myself and what I'm capable of, but how conniving others can be. This fall has been a season of change for sure.
First, I learned that I have had a carrot dangling in front of my face for over 8 months. I've never been so blindsided by people who I thought cared about me. I however have learned my worth and I can't wait to blindside those same people. That day will be a glorious one.
Second; people are assholes. Pardon the French. This sounds like what I just said above but it is different because this is my personal life I'm speaking about. I can't believe someone could be so two-faced and hurt another human the way I was hurt. Everyone gets theirs though, so I have to continue to tell myself that.
To end on a positive note... I'm cut. Yes, my two years of training has more than paid off. I bought a strapless cocktail dress for New Years and you better believe it fits like it is supposed to. All, and I repeat ALL of my clothes from high school (class of 2001) fit once again. This is an immeasurable feeling. All of those designer jeans, they are being worn once more. I did it. It was pretty easy too.
For those with the $32/month gym memberships, I ask you; what has changed in your two years? Was it worth even the $32? I spent over quadruple that amount each month and it was worth every penny. For example- I don't have to buy new clothes to fit my new body type I'm the same size all the time. That right there is a lot of money saved.
In this time leading up to our 'New Years Resolutions' many people will decide on that $32/month plan and will keep those massive gyms in business. I will spend my hard earned money on private, women only training that works. They motivate me to come to my slotted time and I've made some amazing new friends that I wouldn't have met otherwise. If I had to choose a cell phone or my Styles Group Fitness membership, I'd chose the latter. It has seriously changed my life.
I'll never forget my first spring (2010) when I put on my first short sleeve tee of the season.
I'll never forget that backless cocktail dress and the looks I got when trying it on.
I'll never regret a single 5:20am alarm to wake up and workout.
Okay, let me get off my soap box. Wanna read what I do on Monday, Wednesday and Friday morning? I blog that too. ----> Styles Group Fitness
